How to get value out of it
Use real positions. Take a screenshot of a game you are in the middle of, read it into the screenshot solver, then switch to practice with the board still there. Guessing on a position you actually care about is worth ten invented ones.
Take the score hint first and stop. Knowing a 64 exists changes how you look at the board — you stop hunting for long words and start hunting for a premium square with two words running through it, or for the bingo you had dismissed. Most of the value is in that shift, not in the answer.
The habits worth drilling
- Count to seven first. Before anything else, check whether the rack can use all of it. Fifty points is worth thirty seconds every single turn, and it is the bonus people miss most.
- Look sideways before you look long. A four-tile play alongside an existing word can form four short words at once, each collecting its own premium. That is where the surprisingly large mid-game turns come from.
- Find the double letter beside the double word. The pairs at D4 and H4, and their mirrors, are where a J, X, Q or Z turns a three-letter word into forty points.
- Learn the two-letter words. They are what makes parallel plays legal at all, and not knowing one is the most common reason a good-looking move is refused. The full list is short enough to learn.

Common questions
How is this different from the solver?
The solver hands you the answer. Practice hides it and gives you hints one at a time — the score, then the length, then the starting square, then the direction, then the first letter. You stop taking hints the moment you see the play.
Where do the positions come from?
You set them up: type a board and a rack, or read one in from a screenshot. Nothing is generated for you, which means you can practise the situations you actually keep losing points in.
What should I practise?
The things that recur. Whether a rack of seven can use all of them, parallel plays that form three short words at once, and hooks that turn an existing word into a longer one. Those three account for most of the points ordinary players leave behind.
Is my progress saved?
Rounds played, hints used and how often you found it unaided are stored on this device only. There is no account, and nothing is sent anywhere.
