Length is not the same as score
The list is grouped longest first, because longer words usually score more — but not reliably. Scrabble prices Q and Z at ten and J and X at eight, so a four-letter word carrying one of them beats a six-letter word made of ones more often than people expect. The number beside each word is its face value; sort your eye by that rather than by length.
The letters that look expensive and are not are worth knowing: G is two, and L, N, S, T and U are all one. A rack of those is not a bad rack — it is a rack that wants a premium square rather than a long word.
What this cannot tell you
Where to put the word. A premium square can triple it, a perpendicular word can score alongside it, and playing all seven tiles adds 50 — none of which is visible from the letters alone. When the board matters, the solver takes it into account and ranks plays by what they would actually score.
Using it as a bingo checker
Set the minimum length to seven and the finder answers the one question worth asking before you spend a turn shuffling tiles: can this rack use all of them at all? Fifty points is a large enough bonus that thirty seconds of checking is always worth it. Common questions
What do the numbers next to each word mean?
The face value of the tiles under standard Scrabble prices, before any premium square. A word on a triple word square is worth three times that, and the solver works out the real total once it knows where the word lands.
How do I use a blank?
Type ? in place of it. Words that need the blank show the letter it stands in for in red and score it at zero, which is what makes a blank both powerful and cheaper than it looks.
Why is a word missing?
The dictionary here is ENABLE, an open reference list, rather than the official Scrabble word list, which is proprietary. The two agree on the overwhelming majority of words and differ at the edges — mostly short, modern and recently added entries.
Do I need the board for this?
No, and that is the point: this answers "what can these letters spell". Where to play them, and what it would actually score, needs the board — the solver does that.
